Stumbling around the web the other night, I ran across this pic, thought it defined what a perfect day in the outdoors was to me…..
I’m working towards this goal…here’s what I have so far:
Kayak – check!
Hammock – check!
Laid-back, “I need another nap”, “Cell phone? What cell phone?” attitude – check!
Rocky hills with sheers drops into water…not going to happen HERE…gotta work on that.
(I’d bring a fishing pole, if it were me…Just sayin’)
Anyone ever seen something like this ???
Until then, I can dream….

PS- Working on a two-part write up on a Kindle review, hopefully part one will be tomorrow…
I’m thinking the Peace river would come close. Observations: 1) Climbing out on that tree branch to hook that hammock is the opposite of laid back. Is there a special “no-effort” Bat-tool for that? 2) I want to see the video of that guy getting in, and then out of, that hammock.
I’ve looked, but cannot find the video I had of a guy doing the whole setup, mount, and dismount from kayak into a hammock over the water….but he made it look EASY! (Betting he went swimming MANY times before perfecting it though….
In the river section known as The Trough, on the South Branch of the Potomac, near Moorefield, WV. You can do this for days . . .
Like I need one more reason to go back to West Virginia!
Thanks for stopping by!
