Pre-Weekend News Mishmash 29 March 2012

FWIW, I’ve added a “Calendars” page subsection (find it near the top of the page)with a diary-style log of what I’m doing in my garden, and with my livestock. This is partly to let me keep track of what I’ve done, and partly to allow you to understand how little it actually takes to get results. As in most things, the first step is the hardest.

Here are some articles I’ve stumbled upon that I found interesting.

Ruger Introduces the 10/22 Takedown

via Ruger Introduces the 10/22 Takedown.

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is proud to introduce the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Readily separated into two subassemblies, the Ruger 10/22 Takedown offers a convenient transport and storage option for the popular Ruger 10/22. As reliable and accurate as every 10/22, the Ruger 10/22 Takedown makes it even easier to keep America’s favorite rimfire rifle by your side.

Wear prescription glasses? I have a website for you!

With the mantra of “Two is one, and one is none”, I plan on getting several pairs of spare glasses, and scattering them throughout my life – one in each car, a pair for each backpack, and a couple pairs for around the house. I paid about $175 for my prescription sunglasses at WalMart, so I can EASILY save some money buying here. A plain pair of prescription reading glasses are under $10! I’ve read many reviews stating they are the real deal, and do a good job.

“Using the latest in modern materials, manufacturing and marketing systems we bring our product direct from our factories to you. With no “middlemen”, no retail-space overhead, and practically no advertising budget(we leave it to you, our satisfied customers to spread the word about Zenni Optical), we do not pay for or sell expensive, or even inexpensive brand name frames, but only our own manufactured brand ZENNI.”
